Meet this newly renovated apartment in Germany, designed by architect David Kramer, owner of IMBEK Architecture & Consulting, and captured as part of an ongoing architectural photography project.
The focus of the shoot was to present the interior in a way that feels modern, spacious, and refined while still preserving the warmth and comfort of the space. Rather than making the apartment feel overly staged, the photography was designed to reflect its natural character and create a sense of how the rooms actually feel to experience.
By combining wide-angle compositions with carefully selected detail shots, we highlighted the flow of the apartment, the quality of the finishes, and the balance between contemporary design and a welcoming atmosphere. Natural light, clean framing, and consistent perspectives were used throughout to create a cohesive and polished visual presentation.
The project is still ongoing. With the interior now completed, exterior photography will be added in a later phase to complete the visual documentation of the renovation.
Big ideas, real impact.
The moody lighting was used to bring out the richness of the fabrics, the depth of the materials, and the subtle contrasts throughout the interior. Rather than lighting every area evenly, we allowed natural shadows and darker tones to shape the rooms, giving the photographs a stronger sense of depth and atmosphere.
Particular attention was given to the colors and textures of the fabrics, which add softness and character to the otherwise clean architectural lines. Selected furniture pieces introduce controlled pops of color throughout the space, creating visual focal points and giving each room its own personality.
This balance between shadow, texture, and color helps the images feel more considered and expressive, while still presenting the apartment in a modern and refined way.
